June is an ideal month for me to festival across Europe because all my top picks for indie rock festivals stack up one after the other. It’s a feast of music culminating with Maifeld Derby in Mannheim, Germany, my absolute favorite fest of the early summer. The lineup is outstanding with wall to wall music happening on four close stages, and the cozy campground takes only minutes to reach. I went back to this musical mecca for a second time this year to fill up my ears and camera.
